The Film and TV Charity supports everyone working behind the scenes in the UK film, TV, and cinema industry, including full-time staff, freelancers, writers, production teams, and more. It offers a 24/7 confidential support line, legal and financial guidance, Stop-Gap Grants, a Bullying Advice Service, and free counselling. The Charity is also working to change the culture of our industry, providing resources like the Whole Picture Toolkit for mentally health productions, financial guidance and wellbeing advice, as well as promoting equity and inclusion across the industry.

Backup Tech (The Technical Entertainment Charity) is the UK’s registered charity that provides financial support to industry technical professionals, crew/production personnel and people working in the technical supply chain across the UK entertainment industry specifically live events, music touring, theatre and broadcast. Backup facilitates a number of initiatives in and around wellbeing: A 24hr Helpline for centralised access point for both urgent and non-urgent wellbeing support. Grants for dedicated councillor sessions AJ Bursary for freelancers to access a free Mental Health First Aider training course. WELLBEING IN THE ARTS provides mental health and wellbeing support to organisations, productions and individuals across the creative industries by offering access to counselling, coaching, wellbeing practitioners, workshops, mental health first aid training, artist supervision and much more. Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) helps companies large and small across the UK and Europe, whilst specialised Practitioners are able to look after theatre, film and TV productions, live events and festivals. Individuals can also self-refer and access our diverse team of over 125 student and experienced Counsellors, Coaches and Artist Supervisors, all of whom have a knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges of working in our industry.

BAPAM (the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine) is a specialist charity delivering expert health and wellbeing services for all those working and studying in music and the performing arts - on stage, backstage, on set, in the studio, teaching or touring. BAPAM provides free face to face and online clinical consultations, UK-wide, for performing arts work-related health problems. Tonic Music is a registered charity providing tailored mental health support to musicians and professionals working and/or studying in music. Within the programmes of mental health support, Tonic Music provides free online therapy sessions, peer groups, skills workshops and training courses - including specialist projects for 18 to 25 year olds (Futures) and music agents / managers (Agents x Managers).
